Welcome!

I'm so excited to bring more mah jongg to folks in the Asheville area. Because who doesn't want more mah jongg?!

I've been playing NMJL (National Mah Jongg League) style for the past fifteen years and have had the pleasure to teach dozens and dozens of people the game I love. If you are interested in taking my classes, see the Ready to Learn? page. 

I grew up in Southern California and then spent 30 years in Chicago. My husband and I moved to Asheville in 2019 and have loved every minute of it (well, maybe not the pandemic or Hurricane Helene times!) 

I launched Mountain Mahj AVL in the Fall of 2025, and I would be thrilled to share my love of mah jongg with you.
